If you want to join the workplace that cares:

Humans are undeniably interconnected with the environment, as our well-being is intricately tied to the health of the planet we call home. Our very existence depends on the delicate balance of ecosystems that provide us with clean air, water, and food. To thrive as a species and promote equality among all, we must recognize the profound impact our actions have on the environment. By supporting and nurturing the natural world, we not only ensure a sustainable future for ourselves but also create a more just and equitable world for all living beings.

The koala has been listed as endangered, since on 12 February 2022.

In 2020 the conservation outlook for the Blue Mountains was assessed as "significant concern" by the World Heritage Outlook. “Seventy-one percent of the site was affected by fires that burned at greatly varying intensities for more than 3 months from end October 2019 to early February 2020. Many species that are attributes of the Outstanding Universal Value of the site were impacted by the fires.“

Environmental conservation and equality go hand in hand, as they are both essential elements in building a harmonious and prosperous global community. Our responsibility is not just to coexist with the environment, but to actively protect and preserve it, fostering a world where every individual has an equal opportunity to flourish.

It's important to acknowledge that lifting people out of poverty is not only a moral imperative but also a critical component of environmental sustainability. When communities are empowered with economic opportunities, they are better equipped to make environmentally responsible choices. By addressing poverty and promoting economic equality, we not only enhance the quality of life for those in need but also reduce the environmental strain caused by desperate measures for survival. In essence, supporting the environment, while simultaneously alleviating poverty, is a win-win scenario that leads to a healthier planet and a fairer world for all.

Studies in Australia's wet tropics show that soils have limited capacity to recover from deforestation. This adds to deforestation's price tag. Australia's CSIRO estimates that land degradation costs about $1 billion annually.

Australia's unique ecosystems, from its ancient rainforests to its diverse marine life, are not only globally significant but also integral to our tourism industry, and the nation's identity. Preserving these natural wonders ensures the environmental and financial well-being of future Australian generations.

In 2005, 17 of 82 species that were assessed in Australian waters were classified as overfished. Species that remain subject to overfishing and/or are overfished include the southern bluefin tuna; blue warehou; silver trevally; orange roughy; and bigeye tuna in the Pacific and Indian Oceans beyond the Australian Fishing Zone (AFZ).

By combatting poverty and promoting environmental stewardship, we lay the foundation for a sustainable and prosperous Australia. The two are intricately linked, as a healthy environment is crucial for supporting livelihoods and reducing vulnerability among disadvantaged communities. In Australia, as in the rest of the world, the synergy between environmental protection and poverty alleviation is an imperative undertaking that fosters a better future for all.

It is estimated that Australia gains around 20 new pests or diseases each year. Some well-known examples include cane toads, rabbits, willows and, more recently, black striped mussels and red fire ants.

Every time you come to Nauti you are protecting and supporting the environment with the Australian Marine Conservation Society, and equality by providing universal basic income to people living in poverty with Effective Altruism.
