Welcome to Nauti Studios’ Speed Friending, a fun, friendly social event for adults in Sydney who want genuine connection in a relaxed, creative setting.
What is Speed Friending?
Speed Friending is like speed dating, but for friends. Instead of finding dates, you’ll be making great mates!
If you’re tired of spending your time swiping on apps or shouting over loud music, come participate in some fun, easy, low-pressure activities designed to help you connect naturally with like-minded people.
No forced networking. No drinking required (but BYO whatever drinks/snacks you would like). Just fun activities, good humans and good vibes.
We love diversity! People of all ages, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, abilities and backgrounds are very welcome!
What Happens on the Night?
You’ll arrive at our massive creative artists’ warehouse in Glebe, one of Sydney’s best hidden venues, and then throughout the evening:
You’ll be matched with people who share similar interests.
You’ll rotate through creative activities.
Some activities are one-on-one, others are small-group based.
And the focus is on doing something together, not awkward chatting.
Even if you don’t instantly click with everyone, the activities keep things easy, playful, and enjoyable, and hopefully you will meet a few kindred spirits.
We wrap up with an open social hang, so you can continue chatting with the people you connected with most.
Who Is It For?
Adults looking to make friends in Sydney
People new to Sydney or returning after a life change
Creatives, freelancers, and curious humans
Anyone tired of meeting people only through bars, dating apps, work, or the same social circles
Introverts, extroverts, and everyone in between
Come alone or bring friends; we’ll make sure you’re paired with new people, not just the ones you came with.
What Do You Need to Bring?
Just yourself and an open mind. No pressure. No expectations. No performance. BYO drinks and snacks if you’d like to.
How to Join
When you purchase your ticket here, you will be asked to fill out our questionnaire so we can get an idea about you and how friendships might work for you, so we can best match you with people you’ll vibe with.

If you would like to have the WORST TUESDAY NIGHT OF YOUR LIFE, come to Best Worst Movie Club in the artist-run non-profit creative community hub Nauti Studios in Glebe once a month.
In Best Worst Movie Club we watch movies that are so bad they are hilarious, and then debrief and have a shared "what the hell what that?!" chat.
It's a fun time, and a great way to meet people and make friends.
6:30pm come meet people and chat.
7pm movie kick off
Depending on run time film will finish around 8:30/9.
You can leave after but best part is talking about the movie together afterwards and re-watching favourite parts.
You are welcome to invite/bring as many people as you like, but also lot of people come to meet new people and make friends, so if you are coming alone you will not be alone :)
For reserving a seat:
As we run movie club in a large artist-run non-profit creative warehouse space, we ask for a $10-20 donation to go towards running the space and keeping creative spaces in Sydney alive. But if you can't afford that you can pay less. And if you can't afford anything that's okay you can come along for free but please book a free ticket so we know how many people are coming.
If you’d like to donate more that would be awesome and very much appreciated.

PASS PAUSE PLAY is a night where songwriters come together to pass the mic, pause for a second to tell you a story, and then play their songs in one shared set. Based on a Nashville ‘in-the-rounds’ model - 3-4 artists will take turns playing their songs, going around the circle 3-4 times depending on the show.
In between each song, artists are encouraged to respond to one another through questions, reflections, and any tangents that may arise. These ‘between’ moments lead to beautiful insights into songwriting, artistic life, and the nuances in experience in each performer’s work.
PASS PAUSE PLAY is a deliberately informal gig space that allows artists and audiences to connect in ways a pub or concert hall might restrict. Audiences and artists have both voiced how the organic conversational moments of these shows are often the most memorable
PASS PAUSE PLAY is held at Nauti Studios on unceded Gadigal land in Forest Lodge, NSW.

The Plant Doctor and our little crew are passionately sharing the art of indoor house plant care, so that more people can have more greenery in their lives. Watching plants grow and thrive is such a rewarding experience (and stress-free once you know what you’re doing!) and plants are extremely good for our health and well-being.
You can step into our huge jungle warehouse makerspace in Sydney’s Inner West, for one of our weekend workshops, to learn about indoor plants and plant craft, or we can bring the greenery workshops to you. We run our weekend workshops monthly and anyone can attend. We run our private workshops around what works best for you. We do workshops for team building activities, a hen’s night activity, kid’s birthday party, school holiday activity, baby showers, blessing ceremonies, Christmas parties, adult birthday parties, buck’s party activities and more!
We love sharing the art of indoor house plant care, and all the creative craft practices that go along with it. Whether it’s through an Indoor House Plants 101 Workshop, a Terrarium Workshop, a Kokedama Plant Ball Workshop, a Worm Farm Set Up Workshop (only available as a private workshop), Macrame Pot Hanger Workshop, or our infamous Rainforest Terrariums Workshop. All these workshops are a great way to learn about indoor house plants, learn crafty skills, and get creative!
Plus, our workshops are experiences which keep on giving! You get to take home a beautiful plant creation which you can watch grow and thrive, as well as you and your loved ones learning knowledge, craft, and creativity skills that you can use for a lifetime.
